The Kitchen Table Café is a social enterprise and is registered as a Community Interest Company (CIC).

 

A CIC is a company limited by guarantee whose aims are community orientated and whose profits are used solely for community benefit.

 

All profits from The Kitchen Table Café will be used to hold subsidised café events which encourage community conversation in Newham.

 

CIC's are registered with Companies House (companieshouse.gov.uk) and regulated by the Community Interest Companies' regulator (cicregulator.gov.uk)

'Fifteen'  - Jamie Oliver's training restaurants aimed at training unemployed young people.

Divine Chocolate plc - As public limited company Divine Chocolate has shareholders, however the shareholders are all producers of the cocoa beans used to make the chocolate, the profits therefore remain with the local community of producers.

The Big Issue - Profits from the sale of The Big Issue magazine are used to provide training for single homeless people.
