Wartime Songs was set up to become the definitive online library of the sheet music of World War Two.

When Britain stood alone, one of the few weapons it possessed against the seemingly unstoppable Nazi war machine was a bloody-minded refusal to admit the possibility of defeat. Throughout the whole of the war period the (then) large numbers of people able to sit down at any piano and play meant that morale-boosting sing along sesions fed that attitude of optimism.
