Eprocurement
Is it just a buzzword? Or is the term eprocurement meaningful?Eprocurement is a catch-all word that means different things to different people. Here at @UK PLC®, we use it to define the entire online ordering process, from the moment a customer searches for a supplier, through to payment, invoicing, delivery and support.
The @UK PLC® system has one central aim - to make online purchasing as simple and cost-effective as possible.
This is achieved with the following:
- One central database of suppliers, catalogues and customers
- Portal capability, allowing different routes from customer to supplier, shared amongst participating sites
- Punchout capability, allowing our central system to 'communicate' with external websites, saving valuable investments in existing supplier websites.
- Development of Shopping Basket Xchange and Order Xchange protocols to allow cross-linking between different website and financial systems.
More information on the work that @UK PLC is currently involved with, can be found in our Public Sector section.
