Accessibility and Usability
Accessibility in particular has become a very important element of setting up a website. Making sure your site is 'accessible' is as important as a shopkeeper having wheelchair ramps available.
If you can show that your site complies with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines of the WAI, it will help to demonstrate that:
- you have taken steps to comply with the law
- your site will be available to all users, including any disadvantaged users who use audio screen readers or enhanced displays
- your site will comply with the needs of any public sector bodies you may have as customers
- if the site is accessible to screen readers it should be highly accessible to search engines, a benficial by-product of the initiative
All our designers are trained to a high standard in Usability and Accessibility by leading experts Webcredible, and will be able to advise you how best to comply throughout the design process.
