All new forklifts carry a CE Conformity Certificate for the first 12 months. However, trucks with attachments other than a sideshift,or trucks that lift people, the conformity certificate is valid for only 6 months.

After that period you should arrange a Thorough Examination Scheme according to the type of trucks, usage and environment they are used in. A current valid Report of Thorough Examination is a statutory legal requirement for your lifting equipment.

Any equipment having to be installed on site (eg mast erected) will need to have an installation inspection, which covers all requirements of a Thorough Examination.
