SANDWELL EARLY NUMERACY TEST KS2-KS3
Now available! The DfE approved numeracy assessment intended for use with pupils in Key Stages 2 and 3.
Suitable for pupils aged 8 to 14 years, SENT KS2-3 covers attainment from National Curriculum Level P6 to Level 3A. The five number strands assessed are:
- Identification of numbers
- Oral counting
- Value and computation
- Object counting
Designed to be administered on an individual basis under supervision by a teacher or teaching assistant, SENT KS2-3 is appriopriate for both mainstream and SEN pupils whose performance in numeracy is well below average for their age group. Suitable for use at any time during the school year, this resource is ideal for screening, monitoring and tracking progress, as well as for individual diagnostic profiling and measuring the effectiveness of intervention programmes. SENT KS2-3 is particularly useful to provide a reliable baseline on entry to Year 7 (S1), especially in light of research that has revealed significant numbers of children have achieved Level 4 in KS2 SATs, but appear not to have mastered many elements of numeracy incorporated in National Curriculum Level 3 or below.
SENT KS2–KS3 is also accompanied by an Online Marking Tool (OMT) that generates the following reports:
- Pupil Listing – this report includes overall raw score, raw score for each of the five strands assessed, group rank and a ‘numeracy age equivalent’ that allows comparison of the performance of an individual with the average performance of younger children
- Analysis by Age Equivalent Band.
This pack includes:
1 x Handbook, 1 x Test Book, 10 x Pupil Response Booklets,10 x Scoring Booklets and additional stimulus items.
