Weingut Johanneshof Reinisch, Thermenregion

Johanneshof Reinisch lies in the Thermenregion of Austria, south of Vienna. Some 40ha of vineyards are split 65% red and 35% white vines. There is a strong link between tradition and modern techniques, with the vineyards growing on excellent soils, the use of advanced technology and the experience of generations.


The Steinfeld vineyard lies along a geological fault line of hot springs and with its high content of coarse gravel and limestone, the soil is permeable and warm, making it ideal for typical Burgundy grapes. This is why there is a particluar focus at Johanneshof Reinisch on Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and St. Laurent.


The protected slopes at the edge of the region offer ideal conditions for the Rotgipfler grape variety. Johanneshof Reinisch nurtures the grand tradition of this special regional grape veriety, retaining its elegance and power which is typical of the variety - but using modern methods.
