Transcab Ltd was formed in 2001 in Bristol. We operate a number of vehicles, mostly Licensed Hackney Cabs that are wheelchair accessible. We also have an 8 seater minibus plus a 13 seater minibus capable of carrying up to 3 wheelchairs plus 6 passengers. All our drivers are police vetted as required by the Local Authority. 

We have, in our fleet, a variety of converted vehicles for wheelchair access, these include:  The well known London Taxi, the VW Sharan (rear loader), the relatively new Fiat Doblo (rear loader but with higher headroom than the previous two, see photo), plus a few other designs. All our drivers are experienced in loading and securing a wheelchair passenger for safe travel.

We specialise in contract work, mostly for the local authority. But we do undertake other work for the general public. Due to our commitment to the contract work, we do not operate a 24/7 cab company, like other taxi firms. This means that any client requiring transport `outside` of normal working hours, needs to pre-book a vehicle by phone, depending on availability.
