General Information.

Sterling Surveys was established in 1983, and provides a professional service for all types of  topographic, measured building, photogrammetric, inshore hydrographic, and aerial survey work.

We are an Independent Company, owned by the staff and directors.

Since the start of trading on 1st July 1983, the Company has carried out over 6,000 projects, with an aggregate fee value in excess of £15 million. The values of individual projects have varied between £200 and £250,000.

The Company operates throughout the United Kingdom and abroad from offices in Grayshott, Surrey and Keighley, West Yorkshire.

The Directors and Senior Staff also have very wide experience in managing and executing overseas projects in Europe, the Far East, Africa, and the Middle East.

More than 50% of the current staff of 25 have graduate or professional qualifications.

All commissions are carried out by our own staff: we do not use free-lance or agency personal.

We operate a Quality Management System designed to meet the requirements of BS 5750:Part 1/ ISO 9001/EN 29001, and we welcome Client Audit of it's operation.

Third party liability insurance to an indemnity limit of £5 million for any one occurrence, and professional indemnity insurance for £1,000,000, are maintained. The excess figures for these policies are £250 and "2,500 respectively.

Written statements of company policy, rules and guidance on: Heath and Safety, Racial Discrimination, Equal Opportunities, Confidentiality, and Professional Conduct, are given to all employees.

Surveyors all carry Company Photo- Identity Cards when working in the field.
