The picture at the top right-hand corner of this page depicts the actual Obelisk Awarded (together with the Certificate, shown on another page of this site), from HM The Queen to the Co-Ordinators and Volunteers of Newham Night Shelter in recognition of their work with homeless people during 10 years of service at some 14 different venues in the Borough, including the St Bartholomew’s Church & Centre. The presentation was made by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant for Newham, (Colonel Mike J Dudding OBE. TD. DL), and The Mayor of Newham, (Sir Robin Wales).
