Fellowship House – St Bartholomew’s Road East Ham London E6 (Rear of St Bartholomew’s Church & Centre)
Ground Floor of Fellowship House building, (a listed Regency building) is leased to two separate charities viz, Newham Pre-School Learning Alliance, (occupying the ground floor front area rooms), and Fellowship House Children’s Centre, (occupying an extension adjoining the House at the rear ground floor).
The first floor of the building is leased to a Housing Association.
Fellowship House Children’s Centre - a charitable company (Limited by Guarantee) is a Centre for the under fives. It can take between twenty five and thirty children in the day nursery, staff ratio permitting.
The nursery has been running now for nearly fifteen years and is very successful.
(This charitable company is also responsible for a Play Group and Mother & Toddler Group which take place in St Bartholomew’s Hall opposite)
The Nursery, like many others, is affiliated to the Newham Pre-School Learning Alliance.
Both organisations work well together with a mutual concern for all young children, studying an improving their conditions and learning environment, which prepares them for their school days ahead.
A representative of the St Bartholomew’s District Church Council serves on the Fellowship House Children’s Centre Committee, and Fellowship House Children’s Centre send representatives to serve on the St Bartholomew’ s Centre Committee, so as to have a reciprocal link and relationship between the Organisations & Church Centre.
