I provide professional Sports Coaching in Hockey, Basketball, multi skills for Key stage 1 children and coming soon Cricket and Tennis.

Working mainly with schools, but adult sports clubs as well.

As a course organiser I have a great deal of experience as both organiser and coach. I have been a qualified hockey coach for 9 years and have been involved with this type of coaching in Lewisham all that time. I have also worked within Bromley and Southwark boroughs.

For the last 9 years I have been the Lewisham hockey development officer, setting up, facilitating and coaching such an activity is part of my job. I am very familiar with the appropriate safety standards and levels of professional conduct required to run activities like hockey within the summer university programme. The course has been designed using my coaching knowledge and although this is my first time with Summer University, I ran an identical and successful course last year for the junior summer work out scheme.

I run a Sunday training session for my hockey club (Blackheath h.c). Blackheath hockey club works in partnership with lb Lewisham and I deliver hockey coaching in Lewisham’s schools as the main part of my job. Currently the primary school programme is a big success and this course could help promote the secondary school programme.

All coaches that will be used on the course are qualified to a minimum of English hockey level 1 standard, are insured through English hockey and have been crb checked. The course content uses good practise examples from the long term athlete development programme.
