You can actually edit this from the “your details” area when you log in, or at the checkout stage if you are buying. After you have placed your order, you should contact the company you have purchased from as soon as possible. My computer crashed and I have had a drop out message - has my order been processed?
Log in and view your details > personal account info > view all your orders and you should be able to see whether it was a valid transaction. If it was the order should have gone through. For peace of mind you could contact the seller directly. What do I do if I have forgotten my login?
You would have been sent a login for www.uk-plc.net - if not, when you try to login, there is a link to click if you have forgotten your password - your username is most likely to be your email address. What if I get a card error but all of the details are correct and bank has said that there are funds?
This is unusual - but you need to double-check with the bank or try a different payment method. Where can I see details of my order?
To view your online invoice, simply log in to http://www.uk-plc.net and select 'Your details' or 'View all orders'. Why did I receive a drop out email and an order confirmation email?
The drop out email is sent when you close your browser, leave the site, use the back button or take more than 30 minutes at the checkout stage. The order confirmation will still be sent if you then somehow go on to complete the order. Why was my card rejected?
Check your address carefully. Incorrect billing addresses are the most common problem when ordering from the internet. Punctuation should not be used in your address details, for example 12, The High Street may not be accepted by our system, but 12 The High Street would be fine.
Sometimes you will get a 'declined general' message appear on the screen when making a credit card order. This does not usually indicate a problem with your card but more likely with the details you have entered (eg incorrect expiry date). Or a wider problem. This can be for several reasons:
- Unusual or unusually large transaction - The issuing banks server was down/unavailable for some reason - The issuing bank flagged the transaction for referral, for an internet transaction this gives an automatic decline. - If a credit card has been used several times in one day for internet based transactions this can also result in a rejection What cards do your ecommerce sites accept?
