Site Evaluation and Site Selection
Evaluation of constraints and opportunities presented by different sites with comparison to determine the best choice for client requirements.
Site Investigation and Appraisals
Including mapping and assessment of the condition of existing vegetation and more specifically trees, study of existing soils, research and assessment of historic landscapes, appraisal of ecological indicators, identification and investigation of landscape features.
Maintenance / Management Appraisals
Survey and analysis of existing site usage and features in relation to maintenance and management requirements, identifying features and areas requiring treatment or enhancement.
Historic Landscapes
Research, survey and analysis studies for the production of conservation strategies. Proposals for restoration or reinterpretation of the landscape.
Environmental Assessments
Appraisal of the potential negative effects of a proposal on landscape character and quality, visual amenity and areas of historic landscape. Organisation and co-ordination of other specialists for full assessment studies in the production of an Environmental Statement.
Strategic Masterplanning
Design of proposals for larger sites on a strategic level indicating development zones and overall infrastructure in which building and landscape treatment will take place.
Presentations or Public Consultation
Production of presentation drawings and other graphic material to make presentations for use in consultations. Mounting and manning consultation exhibitions. Preparation and analysis of feedback questionnaires.
Scientific Studies
Research and organisation of trials to test new methods of construction or use of materials and plants.
Equipment Advice
Advice to clients on the selection of equipment and machinery for landscape maintenance.
Grant Applications
Advice on preparation of applications together with provision of supporting documentation.
Planning Applications
Negotiations with the Local Planning Authority and other statutory consultees. Preparation and submission of Outline, Reserve Matters and Detailed Planning Applications, listed building and conservation area consents. Applications for works to trees covered by Tree Preservation Order.
Planning Appeals and Public Inquiries
Preparation of submission for Planning Appeal and Proofs of Evidence at Public Inquiry. Appearance as expert witness.
Lead Consultancy
As the client's agent from inception to completion, preparation of briefs for other consultants, appointment and coordination of the team and monitoring works and costs to agreed budgets.
Landscape Management Plans
Preparation of long-term management proposals and maintenance specification with regular reviews and inspections as necessary.
Maintenance Contracts
Undertaking tender action, preparation of contact documents, appointment of contractor and administration of maintenance contracts.
