 INDICATIVE LIST OF QUALIFICATIONS(Subject to change at the sole discretion Millennium Professional Centre) INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) · International Diploma in Computer Studies (IDCS) The International Diploma in Computer Studies is the first of 3 years in NCC Education's career path leading to a University of Huddersfield degree. The IDCS is course is open to college leavers wishing to take a recognised diploma qualification in IT or their first step onto a degree programme. This diploma is also an ideal qualification for IT professionals looking to update their skills. · International Diploma in Computer Studies majoring in Computer Programming In addition to the compulsory modules, Computer Programming majors study Programming Methods, VN.Net and Java. · International Diploma in Computer Studies majoring in Computer Technical Support In addition to the compulsory modules, Computer Technical Support majors study PC Support Technician (A+) and Networking. · International Diploma in Computer Studies majoring in Internet and Multimedia In addition to the compulsory modules, Internet and Multimedia majors study Developing a Website and Multimedia. · International Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies (IADCS) The International Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies is year 2 of the 3 year path leading to a University of Huddersfield degree. The IAD is a one-year course that prepares students for careers in systems analysis and design, systems development, technical training and support. It builds on the International Diploma in Computer Studies (IDCS), emphasising the use of computing in a business context. This course can be studied in the classroom or online. · BSc (Hons) Computing and Internet Systems awarded by the University of Huddersfield (BSc (Hons) CIS UoH) The Huddersfield CIS course is a final year top-up degree for MPC graduates of International Diploma in Computer Studies and International Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies, or an approved equivalent. It is designed to expose students to new technology and is regularly updated to meet the ever changing trends in the industry. Modules include: Internet Application Development, Large Systems Environments, Distributed and Client Server Systems, and Mobile and Pervasive Computing. The course is designed to run over a 1 year, subsequent to the 2 years required for IDCS & IADCS, with modules delivered through a flexible combination of small-group tutorials/seminars, large-group lectures, supervised or unsupervised practical workshops, and demonstrations. · MPC Postgraduate Diploma leading to the University of Portsmouth MSc in Strategic Business IT (PgD SBIT) This programme consists of two major qualifications: MPC Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Business IT (PgDip) and the University of Portsmouth MSc in Strategic Business IT (MSc). The programme merges the practical world of Information Technology with theoretical business models and the best examples of work practice. On successful completion of the PgDip students can automatically undertake further online study to gain an MSc with the University of Portsmouth.

FOUNDATION · The International Foundation Year (IFY) This programme is aimed at widening access for International and European students to undergraduate university courses by preparing them academically, linguistically and culturally for entry to the first year of the appropriate undergraduate programme of their choice (Business, Computing & Mathematics), provided all the criteria set out for successful completion of The Foundation Year have been fulfilled. · International Certificate in Computer Studies (ICCS) The International Certificate in Computer Studies is a foundation course in IT. The ICCS introduces students to a broad area of topics relating to the use of IT in business, enabling them to move on to further study or obtain employment using IT in a business environment. This course can be studied in the classroom or online. · English Language (ELF) Acceptance on MPC courses and entry to universities overseas is dependent on acquiring a satisfactory level of English language proficiency. PROFESSIONAL · Advanced Certificate in Systems Analysis and Design The Advanced Certificate in Systems Analysis and Design is intended for students who have IT work experience and now need more in-depth knowledge on the methods and techniques used for analysing and designing business systems. It has been designed to meet the needs of IT professionals in today’s world of computing and has been carefully prepared to support the practical requirements of employers worldwide. · Professional Certificate in Web Design (PCWD) The Professional Certificate in Web Design consisting of 120 hours is aimed at giving students the knowledge and skills to plan and develop well-designed websites that combine effective navigation with appropriate use of graphics, text and colour. · Professional Certificate in Computer Forensics (PCCF) The Professional Certificate in Computer Forensics consisting of 120 hours is aimed at providing students with a comprehensive understanding of computer forensics and investigation tools and techniques. The course provides a range of laboratory and hands-on assignments that teach students about theory as well as the practical application of computer forensic investigation. · Professional Certificate in Computer Forensics and Internet Security (PCCF&IS) The Advanced Professional Certificate in Computer Forensics and Internet Security consisting of 240 hours is intended to provide students with the necessary skills to develop a security programme that will protect data and react to threats posed by Internet users
