OVERVIEW

PowerSave

PowerSave allows by the simple method of voltage reduction within regulated limits of the incoming supply, a saving of up to 25% on your electricity bills.

Electrical equipment is designed to accept a wide range of input voltages about its nominal design centre. However, if the actual supply is higher than necessary the equipment will consume more power. A 230V linear device operating at 240V will consume 9% more power than necessary, equipment life is reduced by up to 45%, effectively increasing the cost of ownership. A modest voltage reduction, of up to 12.5%, will produce up to 25% (fixed impedance loads) reduction in energy consumption and in addition will extend the life of many types of electrical apparatus.

Claude Lyons PowerSave regulators are compact wall-mounting or floor standing units. Ideal for easy installation adjacent to consumer units or distribution boards, they are available in single or three-phase designs, rated up to 1,600 Amps per phase.

Sites that suffer from low voltage incoming supplies can also be accommodated using our world-renowned series TS mains voltage stabilisers.

Claude Lyons PowerSave transformers offer a low cost fixed ratio voltage reduction. Available in either single or three-phase with power ratings from 32 Amps to 3,000 Amps per phase.
