LittleOctopus Publishing Limited have over ten years experience of producing books, videos, theatre productions and CD ROMs that are used for schools, staff training, and information.
We can use existing material or start from scratch, researching and writing something unique just for you.
LittleOctopus Publishing started life in 1996 when we received a commission from the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) to write a text, Growing Pains, to support the teaching of plant biology in British primary schools. In 1997 we arranged a workshop tour of primary schools in the South East of England to support its launch.
The Association for Science Education (ASE) chose a special edition of Growing Pains for their Science Year CD ROM, which was sent to all British primary schools in 2002.
Between 1997 and 2001 we created eight new science texts that are published in two volumes called Science Centre Stage.
In 2002 Kent County Council commissioned LittleOctopus Publishing to write a CD-ROM to support drugs education in Kent’s 700 primary schools. The CD-ROM was very well received and contained over 30 texts, policy documents and videos. We have expanded on that to create our most recent project, Drugs Centre Stage volumes 1 and 2, which were published in June 2006.
