Camping & Activites
Frylands Wood Scout Camp is a 62.5 acre campsite located in the green belt on the outskirts of London. It is hilly, well wooded site with four large grassed areas. In the main the camping is arranged in the wooded clearings. Facilities ranging from a single patrol to a District or even County Camp.
Archery
The archery range is situated outside, at the far end of the Activity Field, and can accommodate up to three archers at one time. Maximum size of group 12 per hour.
For groups wishing to use their own instructors a valid GNAS certificate must be shown at the site office before commencing this activity.
Assault Course
The assault course is situated opposite the providore and will test your strength and stamina to the limits.
Run a time trial, register it at the site office and enter our hall of fame, or just go round for fun. Protective headwear is provided.
Climbing Tower
The climbing tower is situated at the start of Featherbed Way and is suitable for all ages and climbing abilities
For groups wishing to use their own instructors the appropriate authorisation forms must be shown at the site office before commencing this activity.
Laser Quest
Strap on your packs, check your weapons and off you go. With acres of woodland to play in, and lots of different games to play, it's a great way to spend an hour.
Explore the campsite with our various orienteering maps, and break the Frylands Code. Compasses and instructions provided.
Take the Frylands Photo Challenge. Just match the photo to the location. Easy right? Wrong! The photos only show a small part of the location. The rest is up to you.
With a range of pioneering equipment, and a whole day to use it in, we can offer a variety of projects for you to build. If required we can provide you with an instructor to help you get started on your project.
A unique opportunity to explore a world in miniature. We will supply you with all the equipment you need to take a closer look at life in the water. Ideal for Beavers and Cubs.
The rifle range is situated along Bunny Drive and can accommodate up to six people at a time. Maximum size of group 12 per hour.
Please note: The group leader must ensure that their group has the appropriate parental permission to take part in this activity.
For groups wishing to use their own instructors a valid NSRA certificate must be shown at the site office before commencing this activity.
A great way to cool down on a hot day, and lots of fun too.
