John Wainwright & Co Ltd have remained an independent family owned company for over 100 years.

Based in Somerset, John Wainwright is a long-established private company, and is a respected supplier of high quality hardstone and asphalt to the construction industry.

Moons Hill Quarry is situated at the eastern end of Beacon Ridge about four miles from Shepton Mallet, and close to the village of Stoke St Michael. The Quarry covers some 240 acres, it was purchased in 1897 and has been working continuously ever since.



We supply premium aggregate and asphalt to the construction industry, but also our products are available for collection or delivery to those who wish to purchase with cash or credit card.
