Effective Information for Health and Social Care

FACE offers a range of products and services designed to support the collection and production of high quality information about people. These include:

• FACE Toolsets  - Assessment and Care planning tools for Health and Social Care.
• FACE Software - For efficient Data Capture and Reporting.
• Services – Such as Training, Form Design and Benchmarking.

All FACE products share a common approach and are designed to work with each other.

FACE APPROACH

There are three key elements to the FACE approach:

• All information is cast into one of two categories, presentations and activities.
• Personal assessment information is organised using core axes known as The FACE Framework
• All data collected is designed to produce meaningful outcomes information, e.g. on change over time or comparisons between populations.

FACE CONTENT

FACE content is represented and organized using FACE's novel approach to working with information about people. Content available includes:

Toolsets for assessment, care planning outcome measurement and care recording. These have been developed and tailored for use with particular care groups or within particular contexts.

A comprehensive hierarchically-organised 'data dictionary' of over 40,000 coded terms collecting data on all aspects of human functioning and circumstances. These are held in the FACE Content Manager and include both FACE Tools and many other accepted tools and standards.

FACE TECHNOLOGY

FACE Software provides an electronic version of the complete Recording and Measurement System. Additionally, it offers FACE Reporting on information collected. The FACE software is designed around a well considered model of the care environment. This model enjoys a high degree of acceptance amongst practitioners involved with care.
