The Independent Learning Cycle

Tried and tested in classrooms and libraries, the Independent Learning Cycle is an electronic support for students and teachers focusing on the effective use of information in the curriculum.

The Cycle is an 8 stage model through which students progress as they complete independent tasks, starting with Questionning and Planning and moving on through to Communication and Evaluation.

For each step in the Cycle, the software includes practical advice, teaching tools and interactive activities. Templates for student use provide frameworks for research, note-taking, mapping tools, bibliography writing and other generic elements of information handling processes.
