Grants4 Local Areas is a new and innovative service that enables local organisations such as community and voluntary groups, social enterprises, local partnerships and local businesses to search for and identify relevant grant funding sources.

Grants4 Local Areas is designed to work in conjunction with Local Authority Community, Regeneration and Economic Development services and provides information on grants in the following categories:

• Energy, Environment and Transport
• Health, Justice and Welfare
• Housing and Homelessness
• Innovation, Research and Development
• Land and Premises
• Neighbourhood Renewal and Regeneration

• Sports and Leisure

Each Grant4 Local Areas funding portal is based on a specific Local Authority area and is structured in such a way that only European, UK Government, Lottery and Charitable Foundation grants relevant to that particular Local Authority area are featured.

Grants4 has been designed to compliment and add value to the economic / community development and regeneration work of Local Authorities by:

• Augmenting and extending their existing Community and Business development services by providing local organisations with access to information on funding opportunities and to enable local organisation, enterprises and groups to search for relevant grants for free.
• Maximising the opportunities for local organisations, enterprises and groups to lever in additional resources.
• Enabling and empowering local organisations and enterprises to play a more proactive and positive part in the regeneration and development of their local areas and communities.
