We have all heard about the dangers of sunbathing without protection suited to the strength of Sun and the type of skin you have. I personally would recommended at least a SPF of 25 on a daily basis, increasing if sunbathing and increasing yet still if vacationing in a hotter climate. Red and peeling is not a good look trust me!
Unfortunately the depletion of the Ozone surrounding our planet is no longer able to afford the protection from the 3 types of rays in the sun it use to offer our great grand parents, so sunscreen or sunblock is no longer an option if you want healthy looking skin well into old age.

This is definitely a avoidable affliction and one that should be taken seriously especially with the trend for more and more young people who are visiting the tanning booths more than once a week in may instances. It's not so much the next 5 years you have to worry about (unless your'e unlucky), it's the next 10-15 years down the road, that the eradiated cells may mutate become cancerous. Different areas of the body including the face can be treated.
