Elan’s integrated Fusion System – the integrated binding system means that power is transmitted from the skier to the skier’s edge even faster optimum power transmission from skier to ski.

Lightweight ski construction is supported by a female-friendly Reflex Sidecut and flex pattern, while ultra-responsive edge-to-edge handling provides the skier with unforgettable sensations on the mountain.

Sidewall construction (SWC) features a tip to tail woodcore, seperately shaped for each model and size. Together with the ABS sidewalls this construction ives the ski a softer flex pattern and enhanced edge to edge power transfer. Found on the Freeride & Freestyle ranges.

Elan’s WaveFlex Technology played a crucial role in the stunning victory of the on-slope specialist Speedwave series at the prestigious European Skiing Awards at Winter ISPO 2006. Fast forward to 2007, and our revolutionary ski construction technology is now also incorporated into Elan’s all-mountain skis. It’s this technology that is responsible for leading skiing’s evolution in the new millennium.

Never before has a ski design allowed the separation and independent optimization of longitudinal and torsional flex properties. Characterized by the waved profile, WaveFlex Technology provides smooth longitudinal flex and powerful edge hold. This heavenly combination enables skiers to enjoy all the benefits of high performance precision skiing and comfort levels that are second to none – no matter where they choose to venture.

Elan’s industry-leading ski construction technology is also responsible for reducing the overall weight of the ski by up to 15% when compared to more traditional ski construction technologies. The reduction in the overall weight of the ski is also a big contributor to the exceptional performance of the skis benefiting from our patented WaveFlex Technology.

In addition to the Speedwave series, WaveFlex Technology is also introduced for the first time in 2007/08 in the Magfire 14 & 12 skis, the Wave Spice, Speed Magic and Wave Magic skis.
