END OF THE ROAD: Alan is in no mood to appreciate the peace of Tracy Island while Tin Tin shares the moonlit Pacific evenings with Eddie Houseman, an old flame from her university days, on vacation from his construction company's first major contract. The job is threatened when the monsson rains start earlier than anticipated, and Eddie rushes back to site without even saying goodbye to Tin Tin. His determination to finish the contract on schedule is so great that he will even risk his life. When his colleagues cal on International Rescue for help, the Tracy brothers have to risk revealing their secret to save their former guest. But Alan's tangled love-love is in no danger at all once the real rescue expert of the family - Grandma - takes a hand....
DAY OF DISASTER: International Rescue's scientific genius, Brains, is in England enjoying tead with Lady Penelope in her mansion, as a martian probe rocket is transported to its launch site across the Alllington Suspension Bridge. A violent storm has damaged the bridges structure but despite the fears expressed by one of its staff, all structural checks are clear. Before the probe is halfway across, however, the engineer's concern is vindicated and the rocket crashes to the riverbed. Inside, two engineers who had been making final checks before the launch see to their horror that the automatic countdown has started - and it cannot be stopped. Starring...THE THUNDERBIRDS!
