As Stated on the Sleeve:
CARIBOU: THE ENDLESS JOURNEY: Every year the barren wastlands of North Canada and Alaska witness the incredible migration of the last great herds of Caribou. For thousands of years, the herds have moved nothwards from their wintering grounds each spring, to the summer pastures of the Arctic tundra. The round trip is an incredible 2,000 ,miles.
A ROBE OF WHITE: Antarctica is perhaps the only real standard of environmetal purity left on the planet. Its spectacular scenery and teeming waters are home to some remarkable wildlife, from seals and penguins to massive 3 ton sea elephants.
POLES APART: They're both cold. They're both remote and hostile. But there the resemblance ends between the Arctic and Antarctic. One is far warmer than the other. One has large land mammals. flowers are common in one but not in the other. One pole rests on water, the other on solid land. This film shows why the polar regions differ so much and how this affects the wildlife there.
