Henry Higgins is a rich professor of linguistics who is bored with life. He wagers with a friend that he could take any girl and teach her to speak and behave like a duchess.

Eliza Doolittle, a Covent Graden flower seller is chosen as the 'Guinea Pig' and Higgins sets about changing her style. He rids her to behave as if to the manner born. Satisfied with his transformation, Higgins takes Eliza to a Grand Ball where she captivates everyone with her splendour. But Higgins, having won his bet, loses interest in the girl and Eliza is left trying to return to her former existence.

It's not long, however, before Professor Higgins realises how difficult life can be without her...A universally acclaimed film which received four academy award nominations and has captivated audiences for many years.
