Eden Springs UK Ltd offers water solutions to businesses right across the country, priding itself on its National distribution.

As one of the leading suppliers of water solutions in the UK, Eden Springs has a wide client base that encompasses a complete range of market/industry sectors. The company specialises in the supply and service of bottled water coolers, plumbed-in water coolers, hot water boilers and the national distribution of small pack - (500ml) bottles. With distribution points throughout the country the company is capable of giving a direct service to all of its customers across the UK.

Eden Springs is part of the major water service group DANONE Springs of Eden, which operates in 18 countries throughout Europe, with over 400,000 coolers on the continent. The UK operation was formed in 2003 and since then it has seen a number of acquisitions that have made it one of the biggest names in the provision of water solutions in the country. Today Eden Springs UK has 16 Service Centres that stretch from Aberdeen in the North of Scotland to Fareham on the south coast of England, and supplies its services and products to about 80,000 customers across this wide area.

Eden Springs has recently re-positioned itself as ‘your source of well-being at work’. We strongly believe that healthy employees are a business’s greatest asset and our core message is that drinking water is one of the easiest and cost effective ways of supporting a healthy and productive workforce.” “Eden Springs is dedicated to supporting all aspects of Well-Being at work. Nutrition, exercise, stress management, work ergonomics and concentration are the core pivots around which Eden’s Well-Being message revolves and we endeavour, through our new Eden website, sales literature and Eden staff, to offer practical tips and advice on all these areas.”

“The summer of 2006 is shaping up to be a very exciting time for the company, as it sees the consolidated launch of their small pack range, under the new single brand of Eden Springs. We have been offering small pack over the last two years, but it has been under a different brand all together,” says Damien. “We are now supplying Eden water in a 500ml, 11 litre and 18.5 litre bottles. We have been delivering the larger (HOD) bottles for several years now, but the small pack will be an added focus for the business and a new addition to the bottled water market.”

Through both strategies of organic and acquisition based growth, the company is on track to become the national market leader in providing hydration solutions across the whole of the UK. Eden is continually closing the gap on its main competitor, as it has been doing over the last three years; today it can boast a 24 per cent market share.

The central ethic of the company, which has underpinned the business since its foundation and will be a key factor in its future growth, is the company’s ability to be a large organisation that operates at a local level. “Sometimes it is very challenging to compete with the smaller companies that are regionally based, due to the economies of scale. This challenge we’ve certainly taken onboard, and we like to think that we are seen as a local operator with national capabilities: we certainly see our customers as partners in our business,” concludes Damien.
