|  | The London Thames Gateway Forum was created in May 2000 to continue the work of the Docklands Forum which had been active since 1974. Their principal activity is that of providing support and providing mechanisms for the participation of the community and voluntary sector in strategic regeneration and governance of Greater London.
Thier members are active in the following Boroughs: Barking & Dagenham • City of London • Greenwich • Hackney • Havering • Lewisham • Newham • Redbridge • Southwark • Tower Hamlets • Waltham Forest • Dartford. Some of them operate on a London wide basis.
LTGF furthers sustainable development in the Thames Gateway area, thereby improving quality of life-social, economic, environmental and physical. They are also influencial through improving groups' effectiveness in making a difference in civil life.
LTGF is financed by the Association of London Government, the London Development Agency and the European Social Fund.
