Book: Bristol Central Library and Charles Holden

Celebrating 100 years of Bristol Central Library, our specially commissioned history, is written by Bristol Libraries' art expert. Produced by Redcliffe Press, it contains specially-commissioned colour photographs never published before.

It charts the life of one of the oldest public library services in the country, from it's beginnings in 1613. The current library, voted Bristol's most popular twentieth Century building, is covered in detail from it's Edwardian opening to it's centenary in 2006.

Discover the fascinating world of architect Charles Holden, his other projects and his influence on Charles Rennie Mackintosh in this unique publication.
