Launceston is truly historic with its Norman castle, windy streets, beautiful 16th century church and its own museum. Launceston is well served with restaurants, pubs & takeaways, so whatever your tastes you can be sure of finding something to suit. There are many interesting local shops and of course a Tescos. Within a radius of 8 miles, there is the Launceston steam railway. Trethorne Leisure Farm Park, Otter Sanctuary & Roadford Lake (watersport centre). We are situated 18 miles from the North Cornwall coast and 24 from the South Cornish coast. 10 miles from Bodmin Moor and 15 miles from the Dartmoor National Park, all these by quiet roads.The Eden Project at St Austell will be fully open from Spring 2001 and will be a major draw for all areas of Cornwall. Our beaches are second to none, either bathing or surfing or just lying on the golden sands and if the weather lets you down, there are many indoor tourist attractions.
